Two Math Educational Web Sites: Khan Academy Vs Solomon Stick

Do you ever get stuck on a problem while doing homework and wish you had a teacher right there at that moment ? Well, if this is you now you can ask questions and watch videos about subjects right at your fingertips. I am going to compare and contrast these two websites called Khan Academy and Solomon Stick. I think that Khan Academy has more videos than Solomon Stick, but Solomon Stick’s videos are more entertaining.
The first website I am going to discuss is Khanacademy. Khanacademy doesn’t have a navigation bar. So you can’t go to the math at your level and you will just need to search it. Khan Academy has over 3,200 videos about almost every subject and the videos are full of information. It has different ways to teach you. Khan Academy is a great website that will help you with your problems about the different subjects.
The next website I will talk about is Solomon Stick. Solomon Stick has a navigation bar where you can choose the math at your level. This website does not have much videos only a couple of them. It only has two subjects which is math and inspiration. Solomon Stick can let you talk to a teacher and ask questions to an actual teacher.
Those were some of the differences these two websites had. Now I will discuss how they can be similar. They both have videos about the topic of math. “Phooooeeeyyy.......” or “Candy yummy,yummy”. You must had heard these sounds in your PC,Mac,Apple product, or Android in the game Angry birds or Cut the rope.I’m here to tell which of these games is better, so you can download it and enjoy playing this addicting game!
The whole main idea of Angry birds is that a hungry pig army finds some bird eggs plan to kidnap the eggs. So they could eat them after they take them the birds find out they get angry so they start to destroy the pig’s buildings to get their eggs back. This is where you help the Angry Birds destroy the pigs home by lancing the birds to hit the buildings, so they can get their eggs back. The main idea of Cut the rope is that there is a little green monster named "Om Nom" and he need to be fed with candy, but the problem is that the candy is connected to a rope and he can’t reach it. That’s where you come into the game you have to try to help “Om Nom” by cutting the rope and letting the candy in his mouth. This isn’t just a simple game, it takes work to build up to be a pro.
There are many versions of both these games for Angry birds there is a the original version “Angry Birds” then there’s Angry Birds Seasons which is all the holidays in the year. Then there’s another Angry Birds game which is the sequel “Angry Birds Rio.”Angry Birds had just made a new game called “Angry Birds Space.’’ Cut The Rope also has many versions like “Cut The Rope” the original. Also “Cut The Rope, Holiday Gift.“ They also have “Cut The Rope, Experiments.”
But on “Angry Birds ” you have to pay for power ups, and they take a hour to load which could get annoying. You also can’t skip levels on the game.But on “Cut The Rope’’ you don’t need to for power ups and you could skip levels.So it make the game easier and more calm.
So I prefer “Cut The Rope” to play because it's more easier and clamer. Because I wouldn't want a hard game and you have to pay a lot of money, would you?

JUSTICE LEAGUE OR THE AVENGERS WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Are you a fan of DC’s Justice League of America? Are you a fan of Marvel’s Avengers? This essay is to compare the two teams of epic superheroes. These two teams are famous in comic books, animation and most recently, Marvel’s movie The Avengers. These superheroes go back to the 1960’s and are both originally from comic books. This will tell the differences and similarities between the two in media, characters and history.
The Justice League of America by DC comics is one of the most famous teams of superheroes. They have appeared in all kinds’ of media including comic books, toys and animation. There has been many different animated television shows. The most recent one ended in 2006. There are many different characters on the team, the first seven were: Superman, Wonder woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Batman and the Martian Man hunter. The team members have changed again and again over time. Many like Green arrow, Hawk Man, Hawk Woman, Wonder Man and many others have been added and taken off throughout the years. The Justice League of America has a long history going back and beginning around October 1960 when their first comic book was published. Over time JLA has went from the first seven to dozens of superheroes. There are toys, TV shows, and movies based on these comic book characters.
Marvel’s Avengers created by Stan Lee is another famous group of superheroes. They were also in many forms of media and have a new movie coming out in May 2012. Like Justice League of America, The Avengers also originated in comic books. There also has been an animated movie based on the comic book characters. The characters of The Avengers have also changed throughout the years. The first Avengers were Iron Man, Ant Man, Wasp, Thor, Black Panther, Hawk Eye and The Hulk. Captain America was later found and became their leader. Other heroes added were Black Widow, Maria Hill, Protector, Quake and many more. The first comic book of The Avenger was published in September 1963. Unlike the Justice League, The Avengers are still making movies. The characters in the new movie are Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Hawk Eye, and Black Widow. Some characters like Wolverine, and Professor X from the XMEN were also included in some of the comic book stories.
In conclusion, the Justice League of America and The Avengers started out the same way, but now they have many differences. The Justice League are simple superheroes with simple powers but The Avengers have an ongoing team of superheroes that are far from being simple. There is no doubt that the Justice League and The Avengers are the all-time best teams of superheroes.

Are you having trouble choosing between a cat and a dog? For many years dogs and cats have been sharing their lives with people. For example, in Ancient Egypt the Pharaohs worshipped cats as their gods. The English thought dogs were sacred because they were used to hunt food, protect villages, and much more. Today, the majority of people have both cats and dogs as pets and they care for them because they are part of their family. When compared to cats, dogs are better pets because they have more abilities and skills that are useful to others in the community and families who have them as house pets.
Both cats and dogs have certain abilities that they have in common but also have abilities that make them unique. Cats are able to jump high from high elevations and still land on their feet. Also, they can see clearly at night and climb high trees and they don’t break a single bone. Just like cats, dogs can jump high but have difficulty landing on all four legs without getting hurt. However, dogs differ than cats in that they can run longer distances like the Greyhound. A similarity in cats and dogs is they can both be seen swimming in water and they have a very good sense of smell. For example, they can smell their food from afar. However, unlike cats, dogs, especially the German Shepherd breed, can be used by police and military for their sense of smell. German Shepherds are preferred because they use their sense of smell to locate illegal drugs, track a criminal, find a missing person or help detect an injured person after a natural disaster.
Both cats and dogs are trained to do many things. Similar to dogs, cats can be trained to do tricks just like catching toys and rolling over. However, dogs can be trained to do much more. Some dogs are trained to help the disabled, such as the blind or deaf, whereas cats aren’t used for these services. The Golden Retriever breed is the most popular breed that is used by the deaf and blind. Golden Retrievers help blind people cross streets, assist them in their homes and help them when they are out in the community.

In this paragraph I will talk about Vans. The Vans motto is “Off the wall” and their logo is a Skateboard. The shoes look thick and feel thick, they have a slick top and when you wear them they can look simple and plain. They’re typically made of cloth and they come on numerous colors and styles so you can match them with anything! These shoes have the ability to make your foot look a bit smaller than what it normally is.
I think Converse is the Vans competition! Converse logo is All Star The shoes look flat and they definitely fee flat. They’re made of cloth too and leather. Converse also can come in numerous colors because of the ability to use cloth. They come with a high top option and a low top option. They typically make your foot look a lot bigger than what it is, and they run large.
Finally, Converse and Vans are kind of similar to each other, they can be used for daily activities like walking, running, playing and a lot of other things. Monstrous Creatures: Vampires and Werewolves

Run Run it’s coming! That’s what you’ll say when you see these creatures. In this essay there will be some things you’ve never even knew about these creatures. In this essay I am going to talk about these creatures history, abilities and what they are like today. These two creatures both have many similarities and differences. Vampires and Werewolves have become a popular thing in the horror genre. They have lots of interesting facts and differences. They have sold lots of products like shirts, movies, and other kinds of products. They have been successful in stores all around the world. They have made shows and lots of movies involving these creatures.
The origins of the vampire began as a young human adventurer named Ambrogio who was brought to Delphi, in Greece. The legend has it Ambrogio was walking to a temple and met a beautiful woman named Selene. Her sister was the Oracle so she came to the temple each day to take care of her while she was in her entranced state. They met each morning before she entered the temple. They soon fell in love. Then Ambrogio asked Selene if she would marry him and she agreed. They were going to make arrangements the next day but Apollo, the sun god, had been watching Selene for along time and didn’t want them to get married. Then Apollo came to him and cursed him so when he was in the sunlight it would burn his skin. Ambrogio was very distraught because he wouldn’t be able to meet Selene as he promised because of the curse. Then he ended away giving away his soul to Hades, god of the underworld. The next curse came from Apollo’s sister Artemis, goddess of the moon and hunting, who made Ambrogio’s skin burn if he ever touched silver. Feeling sorry for Ambrogio he gave him the gift of Immortality. He would have all his other curses but he would be able to live forever. Artemis also gave him the gift of speed and strength. For Werewolves there is a spirit god named Wisakachek, who was a shapeshifter who lived in the woods. One day he was wandering through the woods and saw two people fox hunting named Keme and Matchitehew. Keme and Matchitehew were very hungry and saw the man they had fed long ago, Wisakachek. The boys asked him if he had any food he could share but he said no. Instead, he said he would share his gift of turning into a wolf so they could hunt more easily. The only condition was that they could only hunt animals and to not harm any humans. Months went by and the boys used their ability to hunt any animals in the forest. One day Matchitehew was having an argument with another boy and got so angry that he turned into a wolf and killed the boy. Wisakachek was very furious. He put a different spell on Matchitehew so that h could not change at will. The only time he could change was during the full moon. Since Keme had not done anything wrong he did not get his abilities taken away. Since then, Matchitehew has been known the father of werewolves, since he was the first to create other werewolves. Vampires and Werewolves both have origins that we never knew about. Their origins were the same because people that were involved in creating them both got mad and turned them into things much, much worse. They were both cursed for eternity. Walking as souless person and having no control of what they would do when they were inside the mind of the beast. They were both payed back for having done horrible things.
Vampires have many abilities. They can hypnotize human to do whatever they want them to do. Also, they are very strong and very fast. Another ability is that they can hear and see much better than dogs and humans can. Besides, their strength they can also levitate with grace, speed, and power. In addition, they can be as still as a mouse. They can be very still. For Werewolves they can turn into a werewolf or other kind of animal. Similarly, to vampires werewolves do not get hurt very easily. Beatings, gunshot wounds, and knives don’t hurt them very much. Again, they have very good sense of smell and sight. Besides, senses they can also heal themselves when they are badly injured. Their abilities are very alike and different in many ways. They have good senses, powers, and their resistance to other forces. Vampires today are very different from how they were a long time ago. Crosses and garlic do not have any effect on vampires like they used to. But their abilities and powers are still the same.

Have you ever went into a restaurant and ate the same thing over and over again? Are you tired of it? Did you ever wanted to taste something different? In this essay I will talk about the different and similarities about Mexican and Chinese food.
In Mexican food they have lots of many ingredients. For example, some of the ingredients are carne asada, chili peppers, guacamole and some other tasty ingredients. Now the way that mexicans cook are with a big pot for maybe to make tamales and other things. They might also use a molcajete to make guacamole or even salsa. And last but not least Mexicans use knives to like cut the meat or cut other things.
Now in the Chinese food there are also a lot of ingredients. They have noodles, white rice, chow mein, egg rolls and other good stuff. They have their own ways of eating. They use a big pot, a wok and other stuff. A wok is like a big spoon to mix stuff. They also have their own ways of eating. They eat with chopsticks, forks, and a spoon. Batman vs. Spiderman, by Andy E.
Spider-Man vs. Bat Man Spider-Man and Bat Man both know ''With great power comes great responsibility''. Both Spider-Man and interesting backgrounds. To start off, Bat Man used to be extremely terrified of bats as a child then one day him and his parents went to a theater and he was so scared he demanded to leave and when they finally did him and his parents got shot in an alley. So then he got inspired to overcome his fears and become The Bat Man. On the other side Spider-Man was bit by a new species of spiders and his D.N.A changed to part spider. First I’m going to talk about Bat Man and Spider-Man's powers, the villains they have fought in the past, and their costumes just because they interested me the most.
Bat Man has many different gadgets that give him powers over other people. For example, he owns the Bat Mobile for long range missions, he has wings that make that make him soar through the air, he has the ability to summon bats, and finally he carries portable zip lines. Bat Man also has many villains he's fought in the past like,The Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, Two Face, and Bane. All of these villains are really dangerous so he needs to wear protective gear. That's why his suit is completely bullet proof and reflects stabs. And Bat Man's suit differs from Spider-Man's because his is black. He also wears it to hide his secret identity from foes and from the people of Gotham.
Just like Bat Man, Spider-Man also has amazing powers. For instance, he can shoot web from the palm of his hand, he can climb walls with not even breaking a sweat, and he has the ability to jump incredibly far. He uses those incredible powers to fight off his enemies such as, The Green Goblin, SandMan, Dr. Octopus, Scorpion, and venom. All of them always has a mischievous plan or power to try and destroy Spider-Man. Unlike Bat Man, Spider- Man's suit is colored red and blue and made of only cloth so therefore, Spider-Man's suit isn't as protective as Bat Man's.
Bat Man and Spider-Man's powers both have lot's of things that are very alike. Both of them have super strength, both are still human, and both use their powers to fight for justice. Bat Man and Spider-Man are also similar because both heroes fight lots and lots of villains of different kinds. All the villains they fight are tricky and difficult to defeat and conquer. Lastly, Bat Man & Spider-Man's costumes are also similar in many different ways. For instance, both have masks which means both hide their identity and finally they both designed their own suits. Bat Man & Spider-Man have many differences and many things that are in common. To conclude, who do you personally like better The Amazing Spider-Man or The Dark Knight, Bat Man?
Bat Man has many different gadgets that give him powers over other people. For example, he owns the Bat Mobile for long range missions, he has wings that make that make him soar through the air, he has the ability to summon bats, and finally he carries portable zip lines. Bat Man also has many villains he's fought in the past like,The Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, Two Face, and Bane. All of these villains are really dangerous so he needs to wear protective gear. That's why his suit is completely bullet proof and reflects stabs. And Bat Man's suit differs from Spider-Man's because his is black. He also wears it to hide his secret identity from foes and from the people of Gotham.
Just like Bat Man, Spider-Man also has amazing powers. For instance, he can shoot web from the palm of his hand, he can climb walls with not even breaking a sweat, and he has the ability to jump incredibly far. He uses those incredible powers to fight off his enemies such as, The Green Goblin, SandMan, Dr. Octopus, Scorpion, and venom. All of them always has a mischievous plan or power to try and destroy Spider-Man. Unlike Bat Man, Spider- Man's suit is colored red and blue and made of only cloth so therefore, Spider-Man's suit isn't as protective as Bat Man's.
Bat Man and Spider-Man's powers both have lot's of things that are very alike. Both of them have super strength, both are still human, and both use their powers to fight for justice. Bat Man and Spider-Man are also similar because both heroes fight lots and lots of villains of different kinds. All the villains they fight are tricky and difficult to defeat and conquer. Lastly, Bat Man & Spider-Man's costumes are also similar in many different ways. For instance, both have masks which means both hide their identity and finally they both designed their own suits. Slamm Dunk!!! Touch Down!!! Basketball and football my two favorite sports. In this essay I'm going to compare and contrast the two well known sports basketball and football. Don't you ever wonder how these two facinating sports can be very different and very simular?
The first thing I'm going to talk about is the equipment needed. In football the required equipment is a helmet, pads, cleats, and a cup. While, in basketball you need shoes, shorts, and sometimes even a knee brace when you get hurt. In comparison, they both use jerseys and have numbers on the back of them.
Although they both require some sort of equipment they also have rules to be followed. In football if you get fouled its called a flag. The reason why they call fouls, "flags", is because if you dont follow one of the rules the reffere will throw a yellow flag up into the air. On the other hand, refferes in basketball don't shout out, "flag!", instead they simply call it a foul. Also, in basketball after so many fouls the coaches are forced to take you out of the game and sit you on the bench.
Now lets learn some fun facts about both of the sports's history. The first official football game was played on November 6, 1869 and was played between two college teams. Another fun fact about football is that the first ever Super Bowl was on January 15, 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the two competing teams were the Green Bay Packers vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. As in basketball the first NBA game played was on November 1, 1946 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Also, the first ever slam dunk in the NBA was in 1950 by Charles Cooper.
