GATE Students Visit the
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

As the school year comes to an end, on June 7th, the GATE students from several classes got to become marine biologists for a day at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro. Click on the trailer on the left to view our exciting highlights. The trip was non-stop adventure as we explored live tide pool creatures; hatched grunion eggs and watched the cute, little hatchlings swim; explored the flora and fauna of the wetland environment; then it was on to the lab to dissect a Pacific Mackerel and identify its bloody entrails. It was wild fun!

Space Center Field Trip

On April 24 the 6th grade Magnet classes  went on a field trip to the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey. This video was produced by one of our tech-savvy moms, Ms. Keltner. Scroll down the page to see other photos of this field trip and other highlights of our school year.
